Strategic Implementation Activities for Accelerating Ending the HIV Epidemic Efforts Series: Advancing Status Neutral Efforts with Community Organizations
On October 26, NASTAD hosted the final webinar in a four-part webinar series, "Strategic Implementation Activities for Accelerating Ending the HIV Epidemic Efforts.” The series highlights innovative approaches currently being employed by Phase 1 Jurisdictions for Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) activities. Presenters share strategies for advancing EHE activities across the four pillars, expanding PrEP awareness and uptake, maximizing funding and partnerships for addressing the syndemics and supporting implementation efforts through a status neutral framework.
The final webinar "Advancing Status Neutral Efforts with Community Organizations" focused on implementing status neutral approaches through community partnerships. Collaboration between community and public health is essential to ending the HIV epidemic. Community based organizations continue to be at the forefront of addressing the needs of the whole person. This webinar showcased relationships between health departments and community organizations to address social determinants of health, reduce health related stigma and provide inclusive services to people living with HIV and impacted by HIV.
