Utilizing HIV Self-Testing to End the HIV Epidemic
HIV self-testing (or HIV home testing) is a promising testing modality, especially for individuals who do not or cannot access HIV services in traditional healthcare settings. This webinar provides an overview of HIV self-testing and highlight findings from efficacy studies, followed by a showcase of a state-wide HIV self-testing initiative in Arizona. The webinar concludes with information on how health departments can plan to incorporate HIV self-testing activities as part of ending the HIV epidemic (EHE) initiative. Presenters include Bryan Collins, Community HIV Testing Coordinator at Virginia Department of Health; Glen Spencer, Executive Director of Aunt Rita’s Foundation; and Jen Hecht, Co-founder of Building Healthy Online Communities Coalition.
