Phillip Rideoutt II
Phillip Rideoutt II (FIL-ip RĪD-owt), he/him/his, is a manager on the Hepatitis team. Phillip supports our Hepatitis Network for Education and Testing (HepNET), focusing on building capacity in Black-led harm reduction organizations and expanding our training network for Leading with Lived Experience (LLE) consultants who will aid health departments and community partners in hepatitis elimination. Prior to NASTAD, he joined the public health field in 2011 as a health educator at the community-based organization Guiding Right, Inc. serving marginalized communities, specifically the Black community, within the Oklahoma City metro area. Phillip’s experience includes working as a health educator, HIV/STI prevention counselor, support services counselor, and PrEP Navigator before moving to the Oklahoma State Department of Health as the Hepatitis Field Surveillance Specialist and lastly the Viral Hepatitis Prevention Coordinator. He received an Associate’s Degree in Sociology from Oklahoma City Community College and currently works remotely from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
