Mahelet Kebede, M.P.H
Mahelet Kebede (Muh-ha-lit Kuh-buh-duh) serves as a senior manager on the Health Care Access team at NASTAD. She leads the trauma-informed approaches portfolio and the HCA Highly Intensive Technical Assistance and Problem Solving (HI-TAPS) initiative. In her role, Mahelet provides technical assistance to Ryan White Part B programs and ADAPs, as well as HIV prevention programs, on a number of topic areas and contributes to the development of NASTAD’s Cooperative Agreement with the Health Resources and Services Administration, HIV/AIDS Bureau. She has served the non-profit sector for over eight years by bridging public health and health care on the systems level to create equitable communities and improve population health. Mahelet received her MPH in Global Community Health and Behavioral Sciences from Tulane University and B.A. in Sociology from the University of Maryland.
