Mahelet Kebede, M.P.H.

Mahelet Kebede (Muh-Ha-lit Kuh-buh-DUH), she/her/hers, is a senior manager on the Organizational Excellence team. She leads the trauma-informed approaches, organizational culture, and workplace wellness portfolio, and provides technical assistance to health department HIV programs and harm reduction programs. Before NASTAD, Mahelet worked in the non-profit sector bridging public health and health care on the systems level to create equitable communities and improve population health. Mahelet received her M.P.H. in Global Community Health and Behavioral Sciences from Tulane University and her B.A. in Sociology from the University of Maryland.
