Dhara Dangar
Dhara Dangar, she/her/hers, is a senior manager on the Health Systems Integration (Data Integration) team at NASTAD, where she works on key initiatives focused on integrating Medicaid and HIV surveillance data, supporting the Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) initiative, and strengthening public health data systems. With over a decade of experience in infectious disease epidemiology, HIV/STD/Hepatitis surveillance, and public health data systems, Dhara brings a unique blend of clinical and public health expertise to her role, providing strategic insights to advance NASTAD’s health systems integration efforts.
Before joining NASTAD, Dhara held critical roles as a Project Manager and COVID-19 Epidemiologist at the CDC Foundation, where she directed statewide COVID-19 and Pregnancy Surveillance efforts and supported outbreak mitigation in workplace settings during the pandemic. Previously, as an STD Surveillance Epidemiologist with the Louisiana Department of Health, she implemented comprehensive data frameworks for STD monitoring and developed analytic strategies that strengthened statewide HIV/STD surveillance, contributing to targeted prevention efforts across Louisiana.
Dhara holds a Master of Public Health from Tulane University and a Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery. Working remotely from Pennsylvania, she leverages her extensive STD/HIV background and public health technical expertise to advance NASTAD’s mission of improving health outcomes and care access through innovative data integration and cross-sector collaboration within public health systems.
