Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) Legal Series
NASTAD held a four-part webinar series, “Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) Legal Series.” The first webinar discussed legislation’s impact on healthcare services including prevention and Ryan White programming. The second webinar covered the history, impact, and modernization of HIV criminalization laws presented by the Senior Manager from NASTAD’s Health Systems Integration team Dori Molozanov, J.D. HIV criminalization efforts in the New York City Department of Health and Hygiene were discussed by special guest Adrian Guzman, J.D, MPH. The third webinar focused on housing and legal services, specifically the history and programming of HOPWA presented by Kim Naeseth.
The fourth and final installment of this series addressed the impact of legislation on youth and adolescent sexual health with Rodderick Sheppard, Manager from NASTAD'S Prevention team.
