Virtual Learning Series on Transgender and Gender-Diverse Health – Session 1: Understanding Gender Diversity

NASTAD, in partnership with the Connecticut Department of Public Health, held the Virtual Learning Series on Transgender and Gender-Diverse Health – Session 1: Understanding Gender Diversity webinar on January 9th. This is the first in a four-part virtual learning series that introduces gender diversity and provides an overview of relevant terms and concepts. We define and discuss sexual orientation, gender identity, and the appropriate use of language and pronouns. Attendees explore the importance of prioritizing gender-diverse people in our public health and health equity work. 

The webinar series convened on every Tuesday of January 2024 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM ET. All recordings for this webinar series can be found on NASTAD’s "Virtual Learning Series on Transgender and Gender-Diverse Health" resource page.
