HIV and Hepatitis Prevention Program Manager (Executive Officer 2), Iowa Department of Health and Human Services

Job Posting: The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is seeking an HIV and Hepatitis Prevention Program Manager (Executive Officer 2).

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate statewide HIV and viral hepatitis prevention activities, including functional oversight of team members who coordinate risk-reduction activities; HIV/hepatitis testing and diagnosis activities; perinatal HIV prevention activities; quality improvement and program evaluation activities; public information programs; condom and harm reduction supply distribution; policy initiatives; and capacity building/technical assistance and training for HIV and hepatitis prevention contractors.
  • Ensure activities are implemented in accordance with federal guidance.
  • Coordinate and integrate HIV and hepatitis prevention activities with other programs and agencies.
  • Participate in the development and coordination of statewide strategic plans.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the HIV and Hepatitis Community Planning Group (CPG) advisory body.
  • Manage federal and other grants including developing the applications submitting progress reports, developing and monitoring the budget, and assessing the progress of prevention activities.
