Virtual Learning Collaborative (VLC)
HepTAC Virtual Learning Collaborative (VLC)
The VLC is a virtual learning community and training series designed to support viral hepatitis health department staff in implementing the viral hepatitis prevention and surveillance activities set forth in CDC’s Integrated Viral Hepatitis Surveillance and Prevention Funding for Health Departments (CDC-RFA-PS21-2103) and is open to all state, territorial, and local health departments.

HepTAC 2.0 VLC Year 2
HepTAC VLC 2.0 sessions for year 2 started in September 2025. Each month, there will be two VLC sessions, rotating between prevention and surveillance topics. During each session, the first half will be a presentation and the second half will be discussion-based. Sessions will be 60 minutes and begin at 3:00 PM ET.

Kickoff Meeting
On August 10 and 11, 2021, NASTAD, in collaboration with CDC, hosted the Viral Hepatitis Prevention and Surveillance Virtual Learning Collaborative Kickoff. This virtual event gathered close to 200 participants from health departments to provide core capacity training for viral hepatitis prevention and surveillance and featured sessions directed at building the core competencies of participants to facilitate effective implementation of activities under CDC's new viral hepatitis cooperative agreement Integrated Viral Hepatitis Surveillance and Prevention Funding for Health Departments or PS21-2103.
