Workforce Wellness Toolkit

Last Updated

To support health departments to become trauma-informed and person-centered, reduce burnout, foster supportive work environments, and create pathways for professional development, NASTAD created the Workforce Wellness Toolkit. As a part of this toolkit, three evidence-based strategies have been identified to support the wellness of the public health workforce: stay interviews, vicarious trauma prevention and mitigation, and interventional journaling. The toolkit provides tools, guidance, and resources related to each strategy, as well as health department examples.
