Rosy Galván, Director, Health Equity, oversees NASTAD’s Health Equity portfolio and is the principal investigator for the Center for Innovation and Engagement, a HRSA SPNS initiative that identifies, catalogs, disseminates, and supports the replication of evidence-informed approaches to improve health outcomes for people living with HIV. Rosy also directs NASTAD’s Minority Leadership Program, which provides transformational opportunities and intentional support for people of color working in state and local health departments. Rosy works with NASTAD staff to operationalize health equity principles in public health programming and unpack white supremacy in organizational practices and workplace dynamics. Rosy completed her undergraduate degree at Barnard College of Columbia University, double majoring in Sociology and Human Rights with a minor in Environmental Science. Rosy also has a Master’s in Social Welfare from the University at Albany.
